When adding a visitor in PassLink Pro, you will choose the visitor type that best fits who the person is and how long they should have access.
Choose the visitor type
First, decide what kind of visitor you are adding:
- Guest — A personal guest, such as a family member, friend, or someone visiting you.
- Service Provider — Someone providing a service, such as a pool cleaner, dog walker, contractor, house cleaner, or delivery driver.
Choose the option that best matches the purpose of the visit.
Choose the access type
Next, choose how long the visitor should be allowed to enter:
- Ongoing — Best for trusted family members, close friends, or others who may need continued access.
- Short-term — Best for visitors who should only have access for a limited period of time. You can set an end date for their access.
- One-time — Best for a visitor who should only be allowed to enter once.
Optional entry rules
You can also add entry rules to better control when a visitor is allowed to enter.
Depending on the visitor, you can:
- limit them to one entry per day
- allow entry only on certain days of the week
These options can be helpful when setting up access for recurring visitors, service providers, or anyone who should only enter at specific times.
Keep your community safe
To help keep your community safe, make sure your visitor knows not to share their access credentials with anyone else. Their PIN or QR code should only be used by the visitor it was created for.
If you are not sure which option to choose, select the visitor type and access type that most closely match how that person will be entering your community. If plans change later, you can always update the visitor.
