There are a few different ways to let delivery drivers into your community, depending on the type of delivery and what works best for your community.
If there is a place to add delivery notes when placing your order, one of the easiest options is to create them as a visitor in PassLink Pro and enter their visitor PIN in those notes.
Option 1: Add the carrier as a visitor and share a PIN
One option is to create the delivery driver as a visitor in PassLink Pro and share their PIN with them.
When placing your order, check for any delivery notes or instructions where you can include the visitor PIN.
Examples:
- Amazon: Add the PIN in Delivery Instructions
- Uber/Lyft: Add the PIN in Any Pickup Notes? or share it through Contact Driver
- Food delivery apps: Add the PIN in the order notes or delivery instructions if that option is available
This can be a helpful option when you want the driver to be able to enter through the kiosk without needing to call you.
Option 2: Have the driver call you from the gate
Another option is to have the driver call you when they arrive at the gate.
When they call, you can open the gate for them from PassLink Pro. This can be a good option for:
- Amazon deliveries
- Uber/Lyft pickups
- food deliveries
- any delivery where you do not wish to create them a PIN
If you need help opening the gate, please see How do I open a door or gate?.
Some carriers may already have access
Some delivery carriers may already have their own community PIN or another approved way to enter through the kiosk.
Important
To help keep your community safe, only share visitor access information when needed, and only with the person making the delivery.
