There are several ways to help your visitor get through the front gate. You can use whichever option works best for you and your visitor.
Option 1: Share their visitor-specific PIN
Each visitor has their own visitor-specific PIN. You can share this PIN with your visitor, and when they arrive, they can select your address at the front kiosk, and enter the PIN.
This is usually one of the easiest options because the PIN is made specifically for that visitor.
Option 2: Share their QR code pass
You can also share the visitor’s QR code pass link with them. When they arrive at the front gate kiosk, they can scan their QR code to open the gate.
This can be a convenient option if your visitor is comfortable opening the QR code pass on their phone when they arrive.
Option 3: Share your personal access PIN
If you prefer, you can still share your personal access PIN with your visitor so they can enter it at the front gate kiosk.
However, it is strongly recommended to create a visitor and share that visitor’s PIN or QR code instead. That way, you can apply visitor entry rules such as limiting access to certain days or allowing entry only once per day.
Option 4: Open the gate for them
If you do not want to share a PIN or QR code, your visitor can call you when they arrive at the front gate, and you can open the gate for them from PassLink Pro.
Keep your community safe
To help keep your community safe, make sure your visitor does not share their PIN or QR code with anyone else.
If you are deciding between options, it is usually best to share the visitor’s own PIN or QR code instead of your personal access PIN.
